Sunday 3rd September 2023 was a special day for Brian Shaw, centre, as he was ordained an OLM deacon in Agherton Parish, with the rector Rev Malcolm Ferry, left, and Bishop George Davison. Also in attendance but not pictured here were Revd Patrick Barton, Canon George Graham, Canon Kevin Graham and Rev Andrew Neill.

Afterwards the Select Vestry supplied tea, coffee, sandwiches and traybakes in the church hall.
