We had a lovely meeting in May, with Rae Scott giving us an overview of all things Mothers Union Projects followed by a silent auction which raised £250 for Mums in May.

April saw Andy Regan Murphy giving us an insight to all things Eakin Health Care.

In March, the Rev Malcolm and his wife Carol hosted a fun evening with a Beetle Drive.

In February we had an evening with Andrew our Deacon. He chatted to us about his journey to where he is today.

Our October 2021 meeting took place on Monday 18th. The theme for this evening was “Moving Forward” and our Parish Nurses, Noelle and Eileen, gave a very interesting and inspiring talk. Our ladies enjoyed making prayer cards and these will be displayed on our Prayer Tree in due course.

MOTHERS UNION IN LOCKDOWN (May 2020)Due to Covid19 we have been unable to have our regular meetings, but we are still active in our own way. We have a fantastic group of ladies who have supported each other through calls, messages, emails, and, as we always do, we support our community. We have made Scrubs, Scrub Bags, Knitted Hearts and Ear Protectors. All of which are going to our Front-Line workers in the NHS.

February 2020 meeting

“Totally Tropic with Christine” was the theme for our February 2020 meeting. Christine Acheson introduced us to Tropic Skincare and Makeup – www.tropicskincare.com/pages/christinedixon. Two of our ladies were treated to a bit of pampering. Rae received the morning routine, with full make-up and Lynda received the evening routine. A very enjoyable evening was had by all. Our next meeting will take place on Monday 16th March at 7.30 pm. The speakers for the evening are Noelle and Eileen, our

January 2020

Our first meeting of the year was held on 20th January 2020. We had a joint meeting with members of the Men’s Society. Our speaker was Rev Sam Jones, and his talk was on a subject very close to his heart ‘The Leprosy Mission’. It was a very passionate and informative insight into how this terrible disease still affects many individuals and families today. Learn more at www.tlm-ni.org.
